A beautiful New England inlaid cherry Tall case or grandfather clock. Piece has a fret-top case with line inlay throughout including base. Freestanding columns flanking the painted iron dial, tombstone-shaped waist door with molded edge aperture window and turned quarter-columns. This is an eight-day brass movement with shaped plates and false plate, regulated by a wooden pendulum rod and brass-faced bob. Originally a time and strike movement now time only as the strike mechanism is no longer present. Note the pretty painted bird motif on the dial and the functioning calendar dial. Brass finials on the bonnet. As with all our clocks, this clock has been service and is currently running properly. Height approximately 90 inches. Including both original door keys and movement dial crank.
