This is an exceeding nice Black Forest cuckoo clock---circa 1890. One of the finest examples of German carving as you will encounter including some beautiful three dimensional work. Interestingly, the clock has the cuckoo bird as normal but has a second bellows which makes a quail sound on the half hour. I have never seen this arrangement before in a cuckoo clock. Original movement, cleaned, and working properly in my store - case is in excellent condition with no damage. Note the clock retains its original label on the back (in German) indicating the maker as Joh B. Beha & Sohne (Sons). I believe it also indicates an award at the Chicago World's Fair in 1893. Overall size is 13 wide, 21 high, 7 deep. It would be difficult to find a Black Forest cuckoo clock of better quality.
